All the recipes were donated by residents of the Samos Refugee Camp and are accompanied by their succinct personal memories and tips. The book is a snapshot of a displaced community, expressed through its members’ most cherished dishes.

This newly re-printed English edition features an updated introduction for Winter 2022 and a brand-new recipe!

Featuring inspiring recipes from Iran, Burundi, Syria, Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Mali, Greece, Palestine, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Kurdistan and Egypt. There are starters, salads, dips, and spice mixes, as well as a healthy selection of robust main dishes and of course, some mouth watering desserts.

The recipes have been tested and made as accessible as possible, with notes on harder to find ingredients.
